An Interview and the August Eight Hour Fiction Challenge revisited

First of all, I’ve been interviewed again by fantasy writer Judy Goodwin at My Writerly World. I talk quite a bit about research and the Silencer series.

What is more, you’ll probably remember that I took part in the August Eight Hour Fiction Challenge, which is one of the best ways of getting your arse in gear as a writer.

Now the talented Donald Rump, dean of fart fiction and currently master of ceremonies for the Eight Hour Fiction Challenge, has posted the August results. There are sixteen stories altogether of varying genres, lengths and styles. Best of all, many of them are free.

If you like my Eight Hour Challenge process posts, German writer Thomas Diehl (who was inspired to give the challenge a try by one of my previous posts) has written a process post of his own. I must confess that hearing other people talk about their experiences is one of the best parts of the Eight Hour Challenge for me.

Finally, I’d like to point you again to the Speculative Fiction Showcase. Heidi, Jessica and I have posted lots of great content these past few weeks and there’s a lot more coming. So keep checking back for new releases, author interviews, guest posts, speculative fiction links and more.
